ASK2TRAVEL had the honor of participating as a sponsor at The Economist Shipping Summit, which took place on March 5 at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso in Athens. The event brought together political leaders, policymakers and senior business executives from across the international maritime community, creating a forum for discussion around the future and challenges of global shipping.
Throughout the summit, industry experts explored key topics shaping the maritime sector, including global trade dynamics, regulatory developments, sustainability in shipping and the operational realities faced by shipping companies in an increasingly complex environment. Events such as this provide an important opportunity for dialogue between decision-makers and industry professionals who are actively shaping the future of maritime activity.
ASK2TRAVEL was represented at the summit by Mr. Manos Christoforou, who engaged with participants from across the maritime sector and introduced our Marine Travel Platform. The platform has been designed to support shipping and offshore companies in managing complex crew rotations and travel logistics more efficiently.
Crew mobility remains one of the most critical operational aspects for maritime companies. Coordinating international travel for seafarers often involves tight schedules, multiple destinations and constant adjustments due to operational requirements. Through its platform, ASK2TRAVEL helps companies organize crew travel with improved coordination, cost control and round-the-clock support.
Participation in events such as The Economist Shipping Summit reinforces ASK2TRAVEL’s commitment to supporting the maritime community with reliable travel solutions and technology designed for the realities of the shipping industry.
